Coming Winter 2026, Field Of Faith brings the story of Dwight Lundeen to the big screen. In 1970, he began the football program with seventeen eager, but few, boys; and a field that had witnessed little glory. Yet, from such humble beginnings, he nurtured a formidable and enduring legacy, establishing Becker as one of the premier high school football programs in the state. His teams triumphed four times in the state championship, and numerous times they claimed lesser titles of conference and section, elevating the name of the Becker Bulldogs to respect across the region.

However, Lundeen’s contributions extended far beyond the confines of the field and the scoreboard. For over fifty years, he dedicated himself to guiding young men; not merely imparting the skills of running and tackling, but exemplifying by his own life the virtues of a good father, a faithful husband, and a neighbor worthy of the name. More than three thousand boys passed under his guidance, and many of them attest to the positive transformation they experienced as a result of his influence. Most remarkable of all, he drew them closer to Christ, not through forceful preaching or persuasive words, but by living each day as an embodiment of Christ’s image. In him, they glimpsed the potential of the Christian life on an ordinary field, under an ordinary sky, igniting faith in hearts that might otherwise have remained dormant.
